With a 15+ year HEOR/value communications/market access career under her belt (including Sales Directorship) she has a unique ability to identify and maximise the commercial value of academically robust research, data and services, without jeopardising methodological integrity or losing sight of the ultimate aim of ensuring optimal patient care.
A natural networker (evidenced by an established stakeholder network of more than 10,000 people), Christie is also often recruited to identify and pull together relevant stakeholders across payers/commissioning, academia, clinical and industry roles for a research or a business introduction.
A BHBIA trained provider of healthcare related market research for three universities, Christie utilises her health economics background to help give an early assessment of economic viability/acceptability for products selling into a health system, as well as helping to identify unmet need, product value, opportunities, challenges and next steps.
Christie has lectured in professional, community, graduate and post-graduate settings ,and has helped to develop curricula for post-graduate courses in Health Economics. She is passionate about demystifying Health Economics for the non-health economist and making selling accessible for the research-focussed consultant, and thus offers workshops pertaining to both of these topics.
Sarah has a background and experience encompassing biochemistry, rapid diagnostic testing, pharmaceutical sales, patient group engagement, market access and HEOR to support the introduction and expansion of medicines across many therapy areas for a variety of global companies (Cardiovascular, Diabetes, Respiratory, Mental Health, Dermatology, Biologics, Hepatology, Musculoskeletal and Biotechnology Industries).
Sarah is ABPI qualified and skilled in delivering client projects, ranging from compliant advanced notifications through to patient identification and market expansion project opportunities.
With an eye for detail, Sarah is regarded as having an aptitude for strategic thinking and perception, thoroughly assessing barriers and opportunities to propose potential solutions which fit within the portfolio, objectives and optimal application of resources for the client.
For more than a decade Sarah has invested in building NHS relationships and gaining a thorough understanding of the healthcare system and policies, during which time Sarah has held positions on ABPI Groups and Wales’ Therapeutic Development Assessment Partnership Group.
